IPL 2024: Rishabh Pant practiced in the nets: Delhi team will start its campaign against Punjab Kings on 23 March. Pant met with a car accident while going home in December 2022.

Indian wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant is ready to make a comeback after about 15 months. The countdown for IPL 2024 has started and before that Pant is completely fit. Delhi Capitals team has heaved a sigh of relief with Pant's return. Before last season, Pant used to captain Delhi, but due to being out of the tournament last year, David Warner took command of the team in his place.

Pant has returned to the team and will once again be seen captaining the team. Delhi Capitals has shared a video on its Instagram handle in which Pant is seen practicing batting. While sharing the video, Delhi wrote the caption, Battingheaven.mp4. Rishabh Pant is here and you are also here.

It is seen in the video that Pant is facing the bowlers comfortably and his footwork also looks better. While batting in the nets, Pant was seen hitting big shots and played many shots including slog sweep, reverse sweep.

Seriously Injured in a car Accident

Indian team's star batsman Pant was seriously injured in a car accident on 30 December 2022. His car met with an accident while going from Delhi to his home in Roorkee. Later he was airlifted to Mumbai. Pant could not play in the IPL last year due to injury while he could not participate in the ODI World Cup held in India in 2023.

IPL will start from March 22

The excitement of the 17th season of IPL will begin from March 22 with the match between defending champions Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Due to Lok Sabha elections being held in the country this year, the complete schedule of IPL has not been revealed yet. The remaining matches will be announced after the election is announced.
