IND vs SA 1st T20I Records: In the first T20 International match between India and South Africa being played at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, Indian fast bowling legend Jasprit Bumrah has created a major record. The 32-year-old Bumrah has now become the second Indian bowler in history to take 100 wickets in the T20I format. Bumrah achieved this feat by dismissing young South African batsman Dewald Brevis, who was trying to stabilize the Indian innings after early setbacks.

100 Wicket Club in T20I for India

Jasprit Bumrah, who has completed 101 wickets in 80 T20I matches, is the second Indian to reach this milestone. Before him, this record was achieved by left-arm fast bowler Arshdeep Singh against Oman in the Asia Cup 2025. Bumrah's achievement reflects his extraordinary consistency and class, especially in the faster format of T20 cricket.

He has become the first Indian bowler in history to take 100 or more wickets in all three formats of cricket (Tests, ODIs, and T20Is). This remarkable record places him among the most complete and versatile fast bowlers in modern cricket.

Prior to the Cuttack match, Bumrah had an impressive T20I record, averaging 18.11 in 80 matches and having an economy rate of just 6.36. His best figures are 3/7 against Afghanistan in the T20 World Cup 2024.
