The final of the World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle is slowly getting closer. Now the question arises whether Team India will make it to the final of the World Test Championship for the third consecutive time?
Team India win 4 out of 6 Tests:
Team India still has to play a total of 6 more Tests, in which one match will be against New Zealand and the remaining 5 against Australia. To make it to the final of the World Test Championship, Team India will have to win at least 4 out of 6 Tests at any cost.
Team India has lost the first two matches in the three-match Test series being played against New Zealand. Now the Indian team has to win the last Test against New Zealand and then the matches of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Currently, Team India is at the top of the WTC points table with a win percentage of 62.82.
Australia
Australia is second in the points table. Australia has to play a total of 7 Tests, in which the Kangaroo team can reach the WTC final by winning at least 4. Australia has to play 5 out of 7 matches against India and the remaining 2 against Sri Lanka. Australia's win percentage is 62.50.
Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka, which is third in the points table, will have to win at least three Tests to make it to the final. Sri Lanka now has to play a total of 4 more Tests, in which the team can get a ticket to the final by winning three. The team will play 2 out of 4 matches against Australia and 2 matches against South Africa. Currently, Sri Lanka's win percentage is 55.56.
New Zealand
New Zealand, which defeated Team India in the Test series, is fourth in the WTC points table. New Zealand's win percentage is 50.00. The Kiwi team now has to play 4 more Tests. South Africa
