This was Rohit's first public appearance since being removed from captaincy. The BCCI presented Rohit with a special momento. Rohit received this special honor for leading India to the Champions Trophy title after 12 years. Under his captaincy, India won the title this year, marking India's first Champions Trophy win since 2013.
In addition, the BCCI presented awards in several other categories. Sanju Samson was named T20 International Cricketer of the Year.
