The Australian women's team has to play a multi-format Ashes series against England in 2025. Now the team has been announced for this. Alyssa Healy has been given the responsibility of captaincy. Australia has announced the team only for the ODI and T20 series. The team for the historic day-night test to be held in Melbourne will be announced later.
21-year-old young batsman Georgia Voll has been retained in the team. She had shown a strong performance in the series against India. She also got a place in the series against New Zealand, but then she could not make it to the playing eleven. Because captain Alyssa Healy had returned after a knee injury.
Cricket Australia national selector Shawn Flegler said that we are happy with the way the team performed in the recent series against India and New Zealand and we believe that we have a balanced team to retain the Ashes. It was good to see Alyssa Healy return against New Zealand and she looked in good rhythm, along with many batsmen continuing their strong form from the recent series against India. Georgia Voll has performed well.
