AUS vs IND 2nd test playing 11: Josh Hazlewood, who took 5 wickets for India in the Perth Test, has been injured and is out of the playing eleven. Scott Boland has got a chance in his place.
On Thursday, the Australian team announced its playing eleven for the Pink Ball Test. Scott Boland has got a chance in place of Hazelwood. Boland will play a Test match after about 18 months. He played his last Test match during the Ashes series last year. The Pink Ball Test will start from Friday.
Hazelwood's exclusion from the playing eleven is a big blow for the Kangaroo team which is trailing 0-1, because Hazelwood took 5 wickets in the Perth Test and his performance was better than other bowlers. He took four wickets in the first innings and one in the second innings.
India have not yet announced their team for the second Test starting in Adelaide on Friday. After the return of regular captain Rohit Sharma, it will be interesting to see which middle-order batsman will have to sit on the bench. Australia suffered a crushing defeat of 295 runs in Perth in the first match of the series, which is their second biggest defeat in terms of runs against India in Tests after the 320-run defeat in the Mohali Test of 2008.
Usman Khawaja, Nathan McSweeney, Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith, Travis Head, Mitchell Marsh, Alex Carey (wicketkeeper), Pat Cummins (captain), Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon and Scott Boland.
