Anil Kumble Statement on Ambati Rayudu: Rayudu had announced that this IPL season would be his last as a player. For Rayudu (Ambati Rayudu IPL Retirement), his IPL career ended like a happy story.

Chennai Super Kings veteran batsman Ambati Rayudu said goodbye to the Indian Premier League (IPL) earlier this week after the final (CSK vs GT IPL 2023 Final) between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad this IPL season. Rayudu had announced that this IPL season would be his last as a player. For Rayudu (Ambati Rayudu IPL Retirement), his IPL career ended like a happy tale as Chennai Super Kings defeated Gujarat Titans to become joint (along with Mumbai Indians) IPL champions for a record fifth time.

Ambati Rayudu IPL Career Record scored 4348 runs in his 204 league matches and won the league six times, which is a joint record with Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma.

Regarding Ambati Rayudu, former captain Anil Kumble said-

"Rayudu should have played the 2019 World Cup (Anil Kumble on Rayudu 2019 ODI WC). Yes, no doubt about it. It was a huge mistake. You groomed him for this role for so long and dropped his name from the team Disappeared. Still it was amazing." After the final, Kumble said on Geo Cinema.

Rayudu, who was India's leading run-scorer during the Asia Cup in 2018, was dropped from the squad for the 2019 ODI World Cup. Rayudu had announced his retirement from international cricket after being ignored by the selectors, though he immediately did a U-turn and came back from his retirement, but before the final of IPL 2023, Rayudu had said that CSK and GT ( CSK vs GT IPL Final) will be his last match in the tournament, saying that there will be no U-turn this time.
