On the third day of the Guwahati Test, Aiden Markram took a brilliant catch to end Nitish Kumar Reddy's innings. This impressive catch certainly increased the pressure on Team India, but Indian fans couldn't help but praise him. Nitish's dismissal marked the fall of India's sixth wicket, at just 119 runs, after the visitors had scored 489 runs in their first innings.

Aiden Markram took this catch during the second session of the third day of the second Test between India and South Africa. Marco Jansen bowled the 42nd over, and the fourth ball of the over was a slow bouncer. Nitish Kumar Reddy, deceived by the pace, let the ball hit his gloves and go towards gully. The ball was in the air, and Markram, standing at fourth slip, immediately ran. The ball was still falling far away from him, so he dived and caught it with one hand. Thus, India's sixth wicket fell.

South Africa posted a massive total of 489 runs in their first innings. Senuran Muthusamy scored a century (109) and Marco Jansen played a quickfire knock of 93. After his batting, Jansen wreaked havoc with the ball as well. Earlier, Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul had given India a solid start with a 65-run partnership for the first wicket. However, after this partnership was broken, India's innings fell apart.

KL Rahul (22) was dismissed by Keshav Maharaj. Yashasvi (58), who had scored a half-century, fell to Simon Harmer. Sai Sudharshan, who came in at number three, was caught by Harmer for 15. From there, Marco Jansen wreaked havoc, dismissing batsmen like Dhruv Jurel (0), Rishabh Pant (7), Ravindra Jadeja (6), and Nitish Kumar Reddy cheaply. At the time of writing, India's score was 147/7. Team India is 342 runs behind South Africa.
