Stadio Olimpico History
The Stadio Olimpico (Olympic Stadium), commonly known as L'Olimpico (Olympic), is an Italian multi-purpose sports venue located in Rome. With a capacity of over 70,000 spectators, it is the largest sports venue in Rome and the second largest in Italy after Milan's San Siro.[3] It previously had a capacity of over 100,000 and was also known as the Stadio dei Centomila (Stadium of 100,000). It is owned by Sport e Salute, a government agency that manages sports venues, and run by the Italian National Olympic Committee.
