Estadio León, informally known as Nou Camp, is a medium-sized football stadium with a seating capacity of 31,297. It was built in 1967 and is located in León, a city in the Bajío region of central Mexico, in the state of Guanajuato. Due to its excellent location and facilities, the stadium hosted matches during the 1970 FIFA World Cup, the 1983 FIFA World Youth Championship, and the 1986 FIFA World Cup. It also hosted football matches during the 1968 Summer Olympics. During those games, it had a seating capacity of 23,609. On March 8, 2017, judicial authorities in the city of León determined that ownership of Estadio León still belonged to Zermeño Reyes and Héctor González. It was unclear whether Grupo Pachuca would initiate negotiations to purchase the stadium. One potential alternative was a new Estadio León, which had originally been proposed in 2008. On July 15, 2021, Grupo Pachuca announced that they had reached an agreement to purchase Estadio León. It was later revealed that the local government had financed the deal.
