The Estadio Ciudad de Valencia (City of Valencia Stadium) is a football stadium located in Valencia, the home ground of Levante UD. Built in 1969 and with a capacity of 26,354 spectators, the stadium is the 23rd largest in Spain and the fourth largest in the Valencian Community. The stadium hosted an international friendly match between Spain and Scotland on 4 September 2004. The game was abandoned with half an hour remaining due to lightning striking the floodlights shortly after Raúl scored to level the score at 1–1. On 8 September 2014, Spain's first match of UEFA Euro 2016 qualification was played at the ground, with Spain winning 5–1 over North Macedonia. The stadium was renovated in 2020, with a new roof, video scoreboard and ambient lighting installed. In late 2022, Villarreal CF played at the ground temporarily due to work at their Estadio de la Cerámica.
