With the road to Qatar 2022 clearly in sight, England returns to Wembley to face Hungary in World Cup 2022 Qualifying action. England is coming off a 5-0 win over Andorra which saw them maintain their 4 point lead at the top of the group.
Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell, Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka, Roma striker Tammy Abraham, Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse, and Manchester City forward Jack Grealish all scored to give Gareth Southgates team a comfortable victory.
Hungary, on the other hand, was defeated by Albania in what was a big blow to their hopes of making it to the playoffs. They are now 5 points behind the Albanians with 3 games remaining and a win here seems quite unlikely as the reverse fixture ended 4-0 in favor of England.
England’s top scorer Harry Kane is the best attacking option here by some distance. Kane has 5 goals in the Qualifiers in 5 games and also has 1 assist. He averages 3.2 shots per game and has also created 1 big chance.
Jack Grealish can be a fantastic midfield option. Grealish has one goal and one assist to his name despite starting just twice. He averages 1.5 key passes per game and has also created 2 big chances.
Ben Chilwell heads up the England defense and he has a goal and an assist in the Qualifiers. He also averages 1 shot, 2.7 key passes, 1.3 tackles, and 2 interceptions per game.
Roland Sallai has scored 2 goals in the Qualifiers so far in 6 outings and is a good forward option. He also averages 1.5 shots to go with 0.7 tackles per game.
Laszlo Kleinheisler heads up the midfield options from the visitors and has scored one goal while averaging 1.4 shots per game. He also averages 1.1 tackles per game to go with 23.3 accurate passes per game.
Attila Szalai can be a great defensive pick. Szalai has assisted once in the Qualifiers so far and has created 2 big chances. He also averages 2.4 interceptions and 2 tackles per game.
1.Harry Kane: Kane is the safest captaincy pick here. He has scored in each of his last 3 games for England and he also has 4 goals in his last 4 games for Tottenham. He scored against Hungary in the reverse fixture as well.
2.Jack Grealish: Grealish is a good vice-captaincy option in this one. He has one goal and one assist to his name in the Qualifiers as stated earlier, with the goal coming in their last match against Andorra.
