Ayushi Soni, who plays for Gujarat Giants in the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2026, has etched her name in the record books. Ayushi has become the first batter to be retired out in the WPL. The Gujarat Giants team management sent her to bat at number 6, but Soni could only manage 11 runs off 14 balls. She was then retired out before the start of the 17th over of the innings.

After Ayushi Soni's dismissal, Bharti Fulmali came to the crease and played a blistering innings. The right-handed batter, who plays for Vidarbha in domestic cricket, made the most of the opportunity and remained unbeaten on 36 runs off just 15 balls. This innings helped Gujarat Giants post a total of 192/5 in 20 overs. Fulmali's explosive knock included 3 fours and 3 sixes.
