ENG vs SA 2nd T20I Highlights: On the basis of the stormy innings of Phil Salt and Jos Buttler, the England cricket team defeated South Africa by a huge margin of 146 runs in the second T20 International match played at Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester on Friday (12 September). In terms of runs, this is England's biggest win and South Africa's biggest defeat in this format. With this win, the three-match series has been tied at 1-1.

England got off to a great start after being asked to bat first and the opening pair of Phil Salt-Jos Butler shared 126 runs in 7.5 overs for the first wicket. The first blow to the host team came in the form of Butler, who scored 83 runs in 30 balls, hitting eight fours and seven sixes.

England innings - Record breaking performance

• England batted first and set a new record in T20I history. They scored a mammoth 304 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 20 overs, the highest ever score made in T20I by any Test playing country.
• This match will be remembered mainly for the stormy innings of England opener Phil Salt. Salt scored an unbeaten 141 off 60 balls, the highest ever individual score by any English batsman in T20I.
• He also broke Liam Livingstone's record of the fastest century made in 44 balls by scoring a century in just 39 balls.
• Apart from Salt, captain Jos Buttler also batted brilliantly. He scored 83 runs in just 30 balls and shared a 129-run partnership for the first wicket with Salt.
• It was a bad day for South Africa bowlers, where Lizaad Williams gave away the most runs at an economy of 20.66.

• Chasing a mammoth target of 305 runs, South Africa came under pressure and kept losing wickets at regular intervals.
• Captain Aiden Markram struggled a bit and scored 41 runs in 20 balls, but he did not get enough support from any other batsman.
• South Africa were all out for 158 in 16.1 overs.
• England bowlers also performed brilliantly, with Jofra Archer taking 3 wickets, while Sam Curran, Will Jacks and Liam Dawson took 2 wickets each.
