The M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru is set to host a thrilling IPL 2025 showdown between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and the undefeated Delhi Capitals (DC) on Thursday, April 10. Veteran Aussie pacer Josh Hazlewood has led RCB’s pace attack with remarkable precision. He’s already scalped eight wickets in four games, maintaining an average of 15.37 and an economy rate of 7.76—commendable numbers in such a batting-heavy tournament.
In the recent clash against Mumbai Indians, Hazlewood showcased his calmness under pressure, claiming the wicket of Hardik Pandya during a critical phase. His ability to strike early in the powerplay and then return for effective death overs makes him a vital cog in RCB’s bowling unit.
Mitchell Starc has been arguably the most impactful fast bowler of IPL 2025 so far. The fiery left-armer has already bagged nine wickets in just three matches, including a sensational five-wicket haul. With an average of 11.55 and an economy of 8.91, Starc has delivered both in terms of breakthroughs and building pressure.
Against CSK, Starc struck early to remove Ruturaj Gaikwad, finishing with figures of 1/27 in four overs. His pace and lethal yorkers will be crucial at Chinnaswamy, especially when bowling at the death. If he can strike early and return to clean up the tail, DC’s winning streak might just continue.
