So far in his T20 World Cup career, Charles has scored just 456 runs in 20 innings at a poor strike-rate of 113.71 and an average of 22.80.

Interestingly, the batting all-rounder has registered 4 ducks in just 16 T20 World Cup innings. The 31-year-old Soumya Sarkar also failed to open his account against Sri Lanka during the 2024 T20 World Cup Group D game in Dallas in June. Sarkar has a T20 World Cup batting average of 9.43 and a strike-rate of 98.69, which are well below his international benchmarks.

Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi holds the record of getting out for zero in five of his eight T20I matches on the grand stage of the T20 World Cup. One of Afridi's most infamous T20 World Cup innings is the one in which he got out for zero off the first ball against India in the final of the 2007 tournament. The all-rounder played a key role in Pakistan's historic title win in 2009 and was declared 'Player of the Tournament' in 2007, but the cricketer has a batting average of just 18.82 after playing 32 T20 World Cup innings.
