Salman Khan's involvement will not only strengthen the New Delhi team but will also give a new vigour and identity to the entire league. He now joins the list of celebrities who have already owned other ISPL teams. These include names like Amitabh Bachchan (Mazhi Mumbai), Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan (Tigers of Kolkata), Akshay Kumar (Srinagar Ke Veer), Surya (Chennai Singhams), Hrithik Roshan (Bangalore Strikers) and Ram Charan (Falcon Risers Hyderabad).

Salman Khan: "Cricket is the heartbeat of every Indian street, and when that same energy reaches the stadium, a league like ISPL is born. I have always been passionate about the game, and I am extremely happy to be associated with ISPL. The league not only promotes grassroots cricket but also provides a strong platform to talented players. This is just the beginning - with Season 3, viewers will get to know more about our team and build a deeper connection with them."

Who won ISPL Season 2

Season 2 of ISPL concluded with a victory for Majhi Mumbai. This season saw some stellar performances from several rising stars, including Abhishek Dalhor, Sagar Ali, Rajat Mundhe, Ketan Mhatre, Jagannath Sarkar and Fardeen Kazi. Abhishek Dalhor, in particular, performed so well in two seasons that he earned a spot in the Kolkata Knight Riders team as a net bowler — proving the core philosophy of ISPL, which promises to turn street cricketers into future professional players.

IPSL’s historic three-year partnership with JioStar Network had a very successful start. Season 2 recorded 27.9 million viewers on TV and 47.4 million views on digital. According to BARC data, 43 per cent of the TV audience was female, while 66 per cent of the digital audience was youth (under 29 years of age) — reflecting the league’s deep penetration and widespread popularity among the younger generation.
