Is Mohammed Shami international career over?: Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami was not included in the squad for the upcoming ODI series against Australia, raising serious questions about his international career.
According to a recent report in The Telegraph, the BCCI is no longer in the mood to include Shami in the Indian team.

The report states that Shami's return is now considered very difficult. The main reasons for this are:
Shami last played for India in March 2025 during the Champions Trophy. After that, he remained out of international cricket due to injuries and participated only in domestic matches.

A BCCI official gave a clear opinion on the matter, saying:
"It is becoming increasingly difficult for Shami to return to Team India at this time. He wasn't very effective in the Duleep Trophy matches either, with only a few good spells. Furthermore, he is getting older and his pace has lost its former sharpness. If Shami wants to continue playing in the IPL, he will need to participate regularly in domestic cricket."

Although there are disappointing reports about his return to the international team, Shami hasn't given up yet.
The report also states that Shami has expressed his desire to play for Bengal in this year's Ranji Trophy.
However, the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has not yet made a final decision on his selection.

Even though reports indicate Shami's path to a return to Team India is difficult, his readiness to play for Bengal shows that he still doesn't want to leave the field.
His performance in the upcoming Ranji season will determine whether Is there still any door open for him in Indian cricket or will this prove to be his last chapter?
