The final list of players for the highly anticipated IPL 2026 auction was officially confirmed on Tuesday, December 9. Out of the 1,390 players who initially registered for the mini-auction, only 350 players made it to the final shortlist. These players will go under the hammer in Abu Dhabi on December 16, as all 10 franchises aim to strengthen their squads for the new season.
Breakdown of the IPL 2026 Final Auction List
The final pool consists of a well-balanced mix of Indian and overseas talent:
- Total Players: 350
- Indian Players: 240
- Overseas Players: 110
- Uncapped Indians: 224
- Capped Indians: 16
- Uncapped Overseas: 14
- Capped Overseas: 96
Teams will battle to fill 77 available slots, of which 31 are reserved for overseas players. As in previous years, the highest base price category remains unchanged at ₹2 crore.
Players with ₹1 Crore Base Price for IPL 2026
A total of 17 players have listed themselves at the ₹1 crore reserve price. This group features experienced international stars, rising talents, and proven IPL performers.
One of the biggest names in this category is Quinton de Kock, who recently made headlines by reversing his ODI retirement. The South African wicketkeeper-batter, who represented Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in IPL 2025, has been in excellent white-ball form.
Other notable names include Jonny Bairstow, veteran England keeper-batter; Wiaan Mulder, the South African all-rounder; India's pace bowler Akash Deep; Sri Lanka’s stroke-maker Kusal Perera; and crafty leg-spinner Rahul Chahar, who has featured in 79 IPL matches so far.

Among all franchises, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) enter the auction with the biggest purse:

- CSK: ₹43.4 crore | 9 slots open (4 overseas)
These purse sizes could significantly influence bidding wars, especially for players in the ₹1 crore and ₹2 crore brackets.
