The Lucknow Super Giants team had included three players in the team for the IPL 2022 ahead of the mega auction to be held on February 12 and 13. This team has added Indias superstar batsman KL Rahul, who is also the captain of the team. KL Rahul was earlier the captain of Punjab Kings. Punjab wanted to retain him for this season, but KL Rahul refused. However, under Rahuls captaincy, Punjabs performance was not good in both seasons. At the same time, apart from Rahul, the Lucknow franchise had added all-rounder Marcus Stynis and spinner Rabbi Bishnoi to their team. Apart from this, Gautam Gambhir has been made the mentor of this team while Andy Flower has become the head coach of the team.
