IND vs ZIM: The third match of the five-match T20 series between Zimbabwe and India will be played at Harare Sports Club today on Wednesday. The Indian team under the captaincy of Shubman Gill will try to take the lead in the series by winning this match. The Indian team, which lost the first match by 13 runs, made a strong comeback in the second match. In the second T20I, thanks to Abhishek Sharma's strong century, India had scored a huge score of 234 runs in 20 overs.
In response, the Zimbabwe team could only score 134 runs and lost the match by 100 runs. However, even after Abhishek scored a century, his place in the team is not yet confirmed as players like openers Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson and Shivam Dubey have joined the team in Zimbabwe. These players were given rest for a few days after winning the T20 World Cup 2024.
Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson were part of the T20 World Cup squad, although they did not get a chance in a single match. Due to which they can be given a chance in this match. Samson can come in the team in place of Dhruv Jurel, while Jaiswal can open the innings with captain Gill. Jaiswal has scored runs in 17 T20 matches at a strike rate of over 161 with the help of a century and four half-centuries.
If Abhishek gets a chance, he can come at number three. Jaiswal can replace B Sai Sudarshan in the final XI. Sudarshan was selected only for the first two matches. Shivam Dubey, who was part of the playing XI in the T20 World Cup, can also get a chance.
