IND vs BAN: Indian squad announced for the second test against Bangladesh

Indian squad announced for the second test against Bangladesh: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the Indian team for the second Test match against Bangladesh (IND vs BAN). India defeated Bangladesh by 280 runs on the fourth day of the first Test match played in Chennai and took a 1-0 lead in the two-match series. The second and final Test match is now to be played between the two teams at Green Park, Kanpur from September 27.

India has retained the same team for this Test match which was announced for the first Test match. It was believed that fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah could be rested from the second Test, but the selectors have included him in the team as well. Apart from Bumrah, fast bowlers Yash Dayal and Akash Deep have also retained their place, while Sarfaraz Khan and wicketkeeper-batsman Dhruv Jurel will also travel with the team. India had landed with three fast bowlers in the Chennai Test. Yash Dayal did not get a place in the playing 11 in this match. Now it remains to be seen whether the team makes any changes in the playing eleven for the Kanpur Test or decides to field the same team.

India retain same squad for 2nd Test against Bangladesh: The Men's Selection Committee has retained the same squad for the second Test of the IDFC FIRST Bank Test series against Bangladesh. The second Test will be played in Kanpur from 27th September.

The wait for the return of fast bowler Mohammed Shami, who has been out of the Indian team due to injury since last year's ODI World Cup, has increased further. Shami, who seems to be on the path of getting fit, was not included for the first Test. At that time it seemed that perhaps the selectors wanted to give Shami some more time to get fully fit, but his name is not even in the team announced for the second Test. Selection committee chairman Ajit Agarkar had earlier said that the goal of this right-arm fast bowler was to return in the first Test against Bangladesh. For the last few days, there was a discussion that Shami could return to the field from the series against Bangladesh, but he was not included in the team for the Test series against this team. Now it will be interesting to see whether Shami will be a part of the Test series against New Zealand? Or will he have to wait longer to return.
