ICC Bistribution Plan

ICC Board released the revenue model. In this, the Board of Control for Cricket in India ie BCCI will take 38% of the revenue with it. In the next 4 years between 2024 and 2027, ICC will earn around Rs 5000 crore from revenue. Out of this Rs 1800 crore will go to BCCI's account. That is, BCCI will take 38.5 percent of the revenue.

BCCI will be a separate board, taking more than 10 percent of the revenue. According to ICC, apart from BCCI, 11 full ICC members are taking 10 percent work share. Whereas, the remaining 90 associate members will distribute Rs 553 crore.

Revenue of 5 cricket boards will increase up to Rs 8 crore

The new model of revenue will remain the same, but from this year, the revenue of South Africa, Bangladesh, New Zealand, West Indies and Sri Lanka Cricket Board will increase by Rs 8 crore per year.

After BCCI, England Cricket Board, Pakistan Cricket Board and Australia Cricket Board take the maximum revenue.

Big-3 made the draft 9 years ago

The new model was originally developed by the ICC team and then overseen and worked out by the Financial and Commercial Committee. It included the Big 3 i.e. cricket boards of England, Australia and India. He prepared the position paper and restructured the ICC distribution model. The paper's main focus of distribution was on the Coast. It was based on four parameters. The first is the Board's contribution to the ICC's revenue, historical membership with the ICC, performance in men's and women's cricket over the last 20 years, and domestic development.

ICC Will Also Sell Media Rights

The value is more than 3 billion dollars. At the same time, after this the media rights of America and Britain are the most expensive. According to reports, Sky Sports has bought media rights in UK for Rs 1800 crores. Whereas, Willow TV has signed a 4-year deal for ICC events in the US and Canada.
