In the Asia-East Pacific Qualifiers, both Nepal and Oman performed well in the Super Sixes round after the group stage. Nepal won three matches in the Super Sixes round to secure a place in the final and also secure a place in the 2026 T20 World Cup. Nepal also secured a place in the 2024 T20 World Cup, making it their third appearance in the tournament. In addition to Nepal, Oman also secured a place in the T20 World Cup by winning all three of their Super Six matches and finishing in the top spot.

Nineteen teams have been selected for the T20 World Cup 2026, but only one spot is vacant, leaving three teams in the running. Looking at the Asia-East Pacific Qualifiers round, the United Arab Emirates, Japan, and Qatar have a chance to make it to the Super Sixes, making their final remaining matches crucial for all teams. If the United Arab Emirates wins their match against Japan, they will secure their place in the mega tournament.
