Till two years ago Chinaman spinner Kuldeep Yadav team was not even making a place in India. Now he has become the regular bowler of the team. After stepping down as a selector, Sunil Joshi worked with Kuldeep and helped him get his form back. Sunil himself has also been a left arm spinner. In an interview with a news website, Sunil Joshi told how everyone had shunned Kuldeep after he was dropped from the team and no one was helping him.
He said I was part of the selection committee when Kuldeep Yadav was dropped. Who came to the rescue? No one from the coaching staff, I was the one who helped him. Corrected his bowling action, improved front arm and arm speed. Also motivated him to bowl more balls.
Ravi Shastri was the head coach when Kuldeep was out of Team India. However, after being dropped from the team, Kuldeep also changed his franchise in the IPL. Kuldeep Yadav has performed brilliantly while playing for Delhi Capitals. After working with Sunil Joshi, Delhi Capitals coach Ricky Ponting and Shane Watson also worked hard on him.
Sunil told that now everyone is talking about Kuldeep. Even Ravi Shastri had asked him what he did with Kuldeep that helped him get back in form. Former spinner Joshi replied to this saying that he did what a bowling coach should have done.
