The Delhi Capitals Women’s team added 11 new players to their squad in the WPL 2026 Mega Auction. The auction took place on 27 November in New Delhi at the JW Marriott Hotel. A total of 277 players were part of this auction, where some players received huge bids while some big names went unsold.

Delhi Capitals Budget and Strategy

Delhi Capitals entered the auction with a purse of ₹5.70 crore. The team aimed to build a strong and balanced squad to win their first-ever WPL title. They tried hard to buy back their former captain Meg Lanning, who led the team to three finals, but UP Warriors bought her for ₹1.90 crore.

Top Buys: Shinel Henry & N Charini

Delhi Capitals made their biggest purchases by buying Shinel Henry and N Charini, both for ₹1.30 crore each. The team also strengthened their top-order batting by buying South African captain Laura Wolvaardt for ₹1.10 crore.

Before the auction, DC had already retained five key players:
