The 27th match of the Pro Kabaddi League is going to be played between Dabang Delhi and Tamil Thalaivas (DEL vs TAM) on 1 January 2022 at the Sheraton Grand Bangalore Whitefield Hotel and Convention Center.
The last game on New Years day will see table-toppers Dabang Delhi in action against a rather weaker Tamil Thalaivas side, who are 6th on the table with 1 win and 2 ties in the 4 games thus far. Dabang Delhi will start as clear favorites, just as they do in every game, but Thalaivas have it in them to stretch the Dabang Delhi at the very least.

Dabangg Delhi’s CPKL is on a roll here in the 8th season. The team led by Joginder Narwal has been impressive so far and is meeting its expectations as it is the only team that has not lost a game yet. They achieved their third victory of the season when they avenged their defeat in the PKL 7 final by defeating Bengal Warriors 52-35 and also climbed to the first position in the points table.
Tamil Thalaivas, on the other hand, have suffered poor runs in PKL 8 seasons. After being unbeaten in their first three games, Thalaivas finally got their first win of the tournament when they led 36-26 against Poneri Platon, leaving them sixth in the points table.
Naveen Kumar: Naveen Kumar is a phenomenal young raider and has been doing the job for Delhi for a long time. The young sensation was the 3rd highest scoring player last season and has carried that form here. He is top on the list this season with 66 raid points to his name. He has looked unstoppable at times.

Joginder Narwal: Joginder Narwal holds the Dabang Delhi defense together and is a stellar performer. He is their top-performing defender this season with 7 tackles to his name. He will make it hard for the Thalaivas young raiding unit.
Sandeep Narwal: Sandeep Narwal is a bundle of energy and passes on his vibes to others around him. He is a great asset to the team. He can raid, he can put in a tackle andis as acrobatic as they get in PKL. He has had a good start to the season and has put in 7successful tackles. He hasnt had much to do in the raiding department but can do the job when called upon.

Manjeet: Manjeet had a sensational last season and has now emerged as the lead raiderfor the Tamil Thalaivas outfit. The youngster has had a bright start with 30 raid points to his name. He doesnt shy away from putting in a tackle either and has 2 tackle points to his name.
Surjeet Singh: Surjeet Singh is the leader in the Thalaivas unit. The right-cover defender is a solid defender and has made his experience count. He has claimed 13 tackle points in the 4 games thus far. Thalaivas would need another solid performance from their experienced pro.

Sagar: Sagar is a solid defender and came into the limelight in the last season. The right-corner defender has been aggressive in putting up tackles and has taken his tally to 9 tackle points. Expect another solid performance from the youngster.
Both teams are coming into this game after registering big wins in their last fixture and will be confident of their abilities. In the last season, the Dabang Delhi KC team won both their games against Tamil Thalaivas, and are expected to continue their fine performance in this fixture as well. But, the youngsters of Tamil Thalaivas will be looking to compete in a fine fashion as well.
