The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday called for tenders for the rights of the lead sponsor of Team India. BCCI said in the issued tender, alcohol, tobacco, betting, real money gaming ((fantasy sports gaming), cryptocurrency and pornography or any such brand that the company works to offend public morality are not included in this bid. BYJU'S was the lead sponsor of Team India till March 2023. The team players' jerseys featured BYJU'S written on the front. This contract is over now. This is the reason why Team India landed on the field in the World Test Championship (WTC) final with a jersey without a sponsor.

BCCI has released Invitation to Tender (ITT) for Lead Sponsor, can buy with five lakh plus GST. The last date to fill it is June 26. Apart from the Indian men's cricket team, adidas will also sponsor the jerseys of the women's senior national cricket team, India A, India B and the under-19 men's and women's cricket teams.
