Australia A team announced for India tour, 2 Tests and 3 ODIs

Australia-A team has been announced for the India tour. Two unofficial Test matches will be played between the two teams next month. After this, a series of three unofficial ODI matches will be played. Both four-day Test matches will be played at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. After this, the ODI series will be played at Green Park in Kanpur.

It has now become a little difficult for Sam Constas to retain his place in the Test team for the Ashes series. The opener has been selected in the Australia A team for the tour of India next month. Constas was the only current Test player to be selected for two first-class matches against India A.

Australia is focused on preparing emerging players for the next Border-Gavaskar Trophy tour in early 2027. Cooper Connolly, Todd Murphy and Nathan McSweeney have been included in Australia A's 14-member four-day squad.

A team with less experience has been selected for the ODI matches. Five players in this team are under 21 years of age and none is above 26 years of age. Most of the red ball players will return home for the opening round of the Sheffield Shield season. It will start on October 4, a week after the second four-day match against India A on September 26.
