Afghanistan announced squad for Asia Cup 2025: The Afghanistan Cricket Board on Sunday announced its team for the Asia Cup-2025 starting next month. Rashid Khan will be seen captaining the team in this tournament to be played in the United Arab Emirates. The tournament will be played in Abu Dhabi and Dubai from September 9 to 28.

This time the Asia Cup is to be organized in T20 format. No one can take the Afghanistan team lightly in this format. This team made it to the semi-finals by defeating many big teams in the T20 World Cup played last year. Afghanistan will also enter the Asia Cup as a very strong team.

Naveen Ul Haq will be seen handling the responsibility of fast bowling attack. He played the last T20 International match for the Afghan team in the year 2024 and has taken 67 wickets in T20I cricket for Afghanistan so far. Fazalhaq Farooqui has got a chance in the team to support him. The spin department includes spinners like Rashid Khan, Noor Ahmed and Allah Ghazanfar.
