66 balls, 6000 runs: Shai Hope becomes the new ODI record machine: West Indies captain Shai Hope smashed a brilliant century off just 66 balls in the second ODI against New Zealand, shattering several records. This aggressive century, played in Napier, was his 19th ODI century and his first on New Zealand soil. With this explosive performance, he equaled the records of several great players and even surpassed some.

Shai Hope achieved another major milestone during his record-breaking innings. He reached 6,000 runs in ODI cricket in just 142 innings.

He became the second-fastest West Indies player to achieve this feat, surpassing legendary batsman Brian Lara (155 innings). Only the legendary Vivian Richards (141 innings) is ahead of him now.
