An agreement has been reached on the renovation of the Lord's Cricket Ground, which is called the Mecca of cricket. A further 1,000 seats will be added to this, taking the capacity of England's largest cricket ground to 32,180. Its renovation will cost 60 million pounds (about Rs 615 crore). It will be ready by the 2027 Ashes. Marylebone Cricket Club Estate Director Robert Ebdon said: "We are renovating the two oldest stands (the Tavern Stand and the Allen Stand). Our focus is on making it more environmentally friendly to reduce carbon emissions.
