WPL Retention 2026 List
The auction process for the next edition of the Women's Premier League will take place on November 27th. Ahead of that, the list of retained players for all teams has been released. This does not include Deepti Sharma, who was the Player of the Tournament in the recently concluded World Cup. It should be noted that a franchise can retain a maximum of five players.
According to an ESPNcricinfo report, Royal Challengers Bangalore has retained five players, including their captain Smriti Mandhana. Along with RCB, Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians have also retained five players each, while Gujarat Giants have retained only two players.
UP Warriors retained only one player
According to reports, UP Warriors have retained only one player, and it's not Deepti Sharma. The team has retained Shweta Sehrawat, while releasing veteran Deepti Sharma. Deepti was the Player of the Tournament at the 2025 World Cup.

The auction will be held on November 27th
The auction will be held in Delhi, and franchises have been allocated a purse of ₹15 crore (approximately $1.5 billion). Teams that retain all five players will have ₹9.25 crore (approximately $1.5 billion) deducted from their purse. Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians, and Royal Challengers Bangalore have retained five players each.
