The world's first CNG bike will be launched by Bajaj Auto. The new Bajaj CNG motorcycle has been spotted on several occasions. The test bike shows a large fuel tank which hints towards a dual fuel system. The company's upcoming offering will be a commuter and is likely to be around 100-125 cc.
Bajaj Auto has said that the world's first CNG motorcycle will be launched by the company on June 18, 2024. Bajaj Auto Managing Director Rajiv Bajaj gave this information at the launch of the new Pulsar NS400Z.The new Bajaj CNG motorcycle has been spotted on several occasions. A large fuel tank is visible in the testing bike, which points towards a dual fuel system. The company's upcoming offering will be a commuter and is likely to be around 100-125 cc.
Telescopic front forks, monoshock at the rear, disc and drum brake setup were seen in the test bike. The bike can be equipped with single-channel ABS or combi-braking to meet the safety norms.
There is no information about what will be the name of the new CNG bike. Bajaj has recently trademarked the name Bruiser, which could be the official name of the motorcycle. The first Bajaj CNG bike is expected to pave the way for more CNG models in the future.
The domestic manufacturer recently launched its flagship Pulsar in the Indian market. Its name is Pulsar NS400Z and its price is Rs 1.85 lakh ex-showroom.
Powering the Pulsar NS400Z is the same engine that powers the Dominar 400. It is a liquid-cooled 373 cc unit that produces 39 bhp of maximum power at 8800 rpm and a peak torque output of 35 Nm at 6500 rpm. The gearbox on duty is a 6-speed unit with slip and assist clutch. It also has ride-by-wire, riding mode, traction control as well as ABS mode.
