Who is Mohsin Naqvi?
Mohsin Raza Naqvi is a prominent Pakistani media entrepreneur, politician, and cricket administrator. He was born on October 28, 1978, in Lahore. His parents died when he was a child, and he was raised by his grandparents.
He received his early education in Lahore and went to Ohio University in the United States to pursue a degree in journalism. After completing his studies, he returned to Pakistan and entered the media industry. He founded the City News Network, which includes channels such as City 42, 24 News, Channel 21, and Rohi.
After a career in media, Naqvi entered politics. He served as the interim Chief Minister of Punjab from January 22, 2023, to February 26, 2024. He was then appointed Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Minister of Interior and Narcotics Control in March 2024. In the same year, he also became a member of the Pakistani Senate. In 2025, he hosted the Asia Cup as President of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).
