UPSC CSE Mains Exam 2025: There is an important news for the youth dreaming of joining the civil service. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has started the registration process for the Civil Services Mains Exam 2025. Candidates who have passed the preliminary examination can now apply for the main examination by visiting the commission's website upsc.gov.in.
14161 candidates qualified
UPSC recently released the list of 14161 candidates who have cleared the Prelims exam held on 25 May 2025. Now it is mandatory for all of them to apply to appear in the Mains exam. The last date for application is 25 June 2025, so candidates have to complete the application with all the documents in time.
When will the main exam be held?
According to the official calendar of UPSC, the Civil Services Main Examination will be conducted from 22 August to 26 August 2025. This time a total of 979 vacancies will be filled for higher posts like IAS, IPS, IFS through UPSC CSE.
How much will the application fee be?
The application fee for general category and OBC category candidates has been fixed at Rs 200. While women, SC, ST and PwBD category candidates have been given complete exemption in fees. Candidates who need assistive devices, scribe or question paper in large letters can update the relevant information during this form.
Candidates whose name is different from the Matriculation Certificate or who have recently changed their name can also upload the Gazette Notification along with the application.

If there is any question related to the application or the exam, candidates can contact the UPSC's Facilitation Counter located at Shahjahan Road, New Delhi. This counter is open from 10 am to 5 pm. Apart from this, help can also be taken over the telephone.
