Teaser of facelifted Audi Q8 released
Audi India is preparing to launch the facelift of its upcoming SUV Q8 in the Indian market on August 22. Earlier, the company has released a teaser of the car today (August 12). Audi introduced the facelift version of Q8 in the global market in September last year.
The company will introduce the car with some cosmetic updates and new features, so the price of the facelifted model will be higher than the current model. Currently, the price of Q8 is between Rs 1.07 to Rs 1.43 crore (ex-showroom, India). Q8 has no direct competitor, but the coupe-SUV can be chosen as an alternative to traditional SUVs like Mercedes-Benz GLE and BMW X5.
Audi Q8 Facelift: Exterior
The front of the Audi Q8 facelift features a new design with a dual-tone trapezoidal grille, a new 2D logo, a redesigned front bumper and updated HD Matrix LED headlamps. The rear features connected LED taillights and a new bumper. The new Q8 SUV Coupe features 'AUDI' badging on the blacked-out B-pillar, giving it a premium touch. The SUV-Coupe features 20-inch 5-way newly designed alloy wheels.
Audi Q8 Facelift: Interior Design
The interior layout of the new Q8 e-tron is similar to the old model. The car gets electrically adjustable front seats with memory function, which come with heating, ventilation and massage capability. The cabin has two touchscreens on the center console. This includes a 10.1-inch screen for the infotainment system and an 8.6-inch screen to control various functions of the car including the HVAC system.
The digital instrument cluster has been retained from the previous model. Apart from this, the car includes a 15-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera system, 4-zone climate control and tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). The company has recalibrated and fine-tuned the chassis control system to improve the riding handling of the car.
Audi Q8 Facelift: Engine
The Indian version of the Audi Q8 facelift will come with a 3.0-liter V6 turbo-petrol engine, which generates 340hp of power and 500Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. A 48V mild-hybrid system will be available with the engine. Apart from this, the car will have the option of all-wheel drive.
Audi Q8 Facelift: Safety Features
For safety, features like 8 airbags, lane departure warning, ISOFIX seat anchor, anti-theft wheel bolt and loose wheel warning system will be available in Q8. Apart from this, Audi Pre-Sense Basic will be available, which prevents the car from getting imbalanced in case of emergency braking.
