Tata Motors is soon going to introduce the electric version of its popular Safari. Recently, a testing mule of Safari EV was spotted with heavy camouflage. The new Safari EV will use the same Acti.EV platform, which is also based on the recently launched punch.ev.
Its testing mule was largely under cover, but we can still see that the overall design language of the Safari EV will be shared with the ICE version. Come, let us know about it.

There are new alloy wheels, which appear to be of a different design, but they are expected to be the same size at 19 inches. No changes are expected at the rear of the Safari EV and it will continue to feature connected LED taillights.

In terms of technology, the Safari EV will be equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10.25-inch fully digital driver display, dual-zone AC, ventilated front and rear seats and a panoramic sunroof. As expected from Tata, it will be one of the safest cars and its safety features may include 7 airbags, 360-degree camera with blind spot monitor, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and ADAS.Tata has not yet revealed the battery pack and electric motor specifications for the Safari EV, but we expect it to offer a claimed range of around 500 km. As previously reported, the electric version of the Tata Safari will be based on Tata's new Acti.EV platform.
Tata had confirmed that the Harrier EV will have an all-wheel-drive option, so it could be offered for the Safari EV as well. Safari EV will be the most expensive EV from Tata and its price can start from Rs 30 lakh ex-showroom. Once launched, it will compete with the MG ZS EV, Hyundai Kona, BYD Atto 3 and the upcoming Maruti Suzuki eVX.
