New GST Rate List, On which GST rates were increased or decreased

The GST Council has decided to reduce tax rates on several dairy products, fertilizers, biopesticides and agricultural equipment. This will provide relief to farmers and consumers ahead of festivals. GST on key fertilizer raw materials including sulfuric acid, nitric acid and ammonia has been reduced from 18 percent to five percent.

The council has reduced the GST rate on various biopesticides including neem-based pesticides from 12 per cent to five per cent. According to an official statement, the council has reduced the GST rate on 'ultra high temperature' (UHT) milk and cheese from five per cent to zero. Buying a luxury car will become expensive.
