Mutual fund investments in Adani Group companies

Mutual funds are gradually reducing their investment in Adani Group companies, which is a sign of a steady decline in interest. In April, mutual funds reduced their stake in eight listed companies. Shares worth more than Rs 1,160 crore were sold. Whereas, in March, stake was reduced in four companies. The biggest disinvestment was in Adani Enterprises, in which mutual funds reduced their stake by more than Rs 346 crore. After this, Adani Energy Solutions and Ambuja Cements were at second and third place. Investments in these were reduced by Rs 302 crore and Rs 241 crore respectively.

Mutual funds liked only this company

Apart from this, shares have also been sold from ACC (Rs 124 crore), Adani Ports and SEZ (Rs 7.7 crore) and Adani Total Gas (Rs 3.43 crore). The only stock of Adani Group in which mutual funds have increased their interest is Adani Power. An investment of Rs 102 crore has been made in it. The same trend was seen in March as well. During this period, except Adani Green Energy and Adani Enterprises, selling was seen in the rest of the shares of Adani Group. This trend of disinvestment started from January, when the purchase of shares was limited to Rs 480 crore. In February, mutual funds reduced investment by about Rs 321 crore in eight companies of this group.

Adani Enterprise

34 mutual funds invested in Adani Enterprises. Quant Mutual Fund has the highest investment of Rs 1,620 crore. After this, SBI Mutual Fund is at second place with an investment of Rs 1,400 crore and ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund is at third place with an investment of Rs 623 crore. In April, mutual funds had about 2.71 crore shares of Adani Enterprises. Its value was Rs 6,257 crore.

Adani Power

22 mutual fund houses have invested in Adani Power. Quant Mutual Fund has the highest investment of Rs 2,725 crore in this. In April, these mutual funds had about 6.51 crore shares of Adani Power, worth Rs 3,464 crore.

  • Similarly, 28 mutual funds have bought shares worth Rs 4,874 crore in ACC.
  • Taurus Mutual Fund has a stake of Rs 2.28 crore in Sanghi Industries. 20 mutual fund houses have an investment of Rs 3,030 crore in AWL Agri Business.
  • 34 mutual funds have 18.74 crore shares of Ambuja Cement.
  • In April, the investment of 28 mutual fund houses in ACC was Rs 2.58 crore. 36 mutual fund houses have 10.84 crore shares of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone in their portfolio.
  • 19 mutual funds have invested in Adani Total Gas.
  • 26 mutual funds have invested in Adani Green Energy.
  • 27 mutual funds have invested in Adani Energy Solutions.
