Mukesh Ambani's company Reliance has launched JioHotstar streaming app in India. This new OTT platform has come into existence after the merger of the company's existing OTT app JioCinema and Disney + Hotstar. In this new OTT platform, users will have a lot of Indian as well as international content. It will include live sports, web series, movies and TV shows. Jio Hotstar Key Features
Over 3 lakh hours of content
Users have access to more than 3 lakh hours of content on the JioHotstar OTT platform. This includes Bollywood, Hollywood, South Indian movies, anime, documentaries and web series.
Live Sports Streaming
In the JioHotstar app, users will also get to watch live streaming of cricket, football, kabaddi and other major sports. This will give users who like to watch sports a great experience of watching live matches.
Partnership with International Studios
Jio's latest OTT platform will offer content from international streaming services like Disney, Warner Bros., HBO, NBCUniversal, Paramount.
Content in Indian languages
Along with international content, content will be available in more than 10 Indian languages on JioHotstar.
Free Streaming and Premium Plans
The most special thing about JioHotstar is that it can be accessed for free at the moment. However, premium subscription will also be available to get ad-free and high-resolution streaming experience. Subscription plans for new users start at Rs 149.
Automatic transfer of existing subscribers
Users who are subscribers of JioCinema or Disney+ Hotstar will be automatically transferred to JioHotstar.
JioHotstar's New Logo
JioHotstar's new logo has a 7-pointed star with the name JioHotstar. As soon as this platform was launched, its user base has crossed 50 crores. Jio Hotstar app is going to compete directly with Netflix. The company is also offering free subscription, which has already made its path quite easy.
