On August 18, Manika Vishwakarma from Rajasthan won the title of Miss Universe India 2025 in the Pink City of Jaipur. She was crowned by last year's winner Riya Sinha. Manika will now represent India at the 74th Miss Universe pageant to be held in Thailand this November. Tanya Sharma from Uttar Pradesh was the first runner up, while Mehak Dhingra and Amishi Kaushik finished second and third respectively.
Who is Manika Vishwakarma?
Manika hails from Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan and currently lives in Delhi, where she is completing her final year in Political Science and Economics. 23-year-old Manika made her beauty pageant debut in 2024 by winning the title of Miss Universe Rajasthan. Apart from her beauty pageant achievements, Manika is the founder of Neuronova, an initiative dedicated to changing the perception of neurodivergence in society.
Manika Vishwakarma has represented India at BIMSTEC Sevocon under the Ministry of External Affairs. She has also been honored by prestigious institutions like Lalit Kala Academy and JJ School of Arts. Apart from this, she is also an NCC graduate. She is also a trained classical dancer and is also adept at painting.
What did Manika say on winning the Miss Universe India 2025 pageant?
After winning the title of Miss Universe India 2025, Manika Vishwakarma also got a little emotional. While talking to ANI during this time, she said, This feeling is very amazing. This journey has been wonderful. I want to thank my mentors, my teachers, my parents, my friends and my family for everything. My target is to represent India in the best way and bring the crown home.
Talking about her journey, Manika said, My journey started from my hometown Ganganagar. I came to Delhi and prepared for the beauty pageant. We need to build confidence and courage in ourselves. Everyone played a big role in this. I thank everyone who helped me and made me what I am today. Pageantry is not just a field, it is a world of its own which builds the character of a person.
