Made-in-India Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 launched in Europe
Royal Enfield has launched Shotgun 650 in Europe after India. This motorcycle has been introduced in Europe a few weeks after the arrival of the Indian model. This means that now the sale of the new Shotgun 650 has been started in Europe also. Let us tell you that the price of the new Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 in UK has started from 6,699 pounds i.e. approximately Rs 7.05 lakh.
Whereas in Italy also its price starts from 7,300 Euro i.e. approximately Rs 6.58 lakh. Let us tell you that Shotgun 650 is manufactured in Royal Enfield's Tamil Nadu factory in India and is sent to the markets globally. Its price in India is ex-showroom Rs 3.59 lakh.
Fourth model based on 650 platform
- The new Royal Enfield Shotgun is the fourth model based on the 650 platform. Before this, the company has introduced models like Shotgun 650 Interceptor, Continental GT and Super Meteor.
- The European model of the Shotgun 650 is powered by the same 650 cc engine as the Super Meteor 650 tuned to produce 46.4 bhp and 52.3 NM peak torque.
How is the design of the motorcycle
- Let us tell you that the color and look of the European model is similar to the Indian version. It gets swept fenders, a flat and small fuel tank, a wide handlebar with centre-set footpegs and a floating rider seat.
- As we know that Royal Enfield sells its bikes with removable rear seat and luggage rack. Let us tell you that its ground clearance is 140mm, which is a little less and can cause problems.
Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 Engine
- As we tell you, all the features of the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 sold in Europe are similar to the Indian model. It uses a 648 cc, parallel-twin engine, which is tuned to produce 46.4 bhp and 52.3 Nm of peak torque.
- Along with this, it is paired with 6-speed gearbox. The bike has USD forks at the front and twin shocks at the rear.
- Talking about color options, this motorcycle is available in monotone and dual-tone color options.
