The New Zealand team has won the Women's T20 World Cup 2024 title by defeating South Africa by 32 runs. After being invited to bat first, the New Zealand team scored 158 runs. Later the African team could not chase this target and could score only 126 runs. In this way, New Zealand has won the Women's T20 World Cup trophy for the first time. Earlier in 2009 and 2010, New Zealand made it to the finals of the Women's T20 World Cup. Then the Australian team shattered their dream of winning the title.

For this reason, she also received the Player of the Series award. Amelia has single-handedly won the title for New Zealand.

South Africa lost in the second consecutive final:

Captain Laura Wolvaardt scored the highest 33 runs for South Africa. Apart from her, no other player was able to bat strongly in the match. This is why the team had to face defeat. In the last edition of the Women's T20 World Cup, South Africa had also made it to the final, but was defeated by Australia.
