Kulgam encounter: Six terrorists have been killed in an encounter in Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Four terrorists were hiding in a bunker built in a cupboard. A large amount of ammunition has also been recovered from the encounter site. Military operation is going on at both places. Director General of Police RR Swain described the killing of six terrorists simultaneously as an achievement of the security forces.
Security forces on Sunday killed two more terrorists including a commander of The Resistance Front (TRF) in two fierce encounters in Kulgam district of South Kashmir. The killed TRF commander Adil Hussain was involved in dozens of incidents including the target killing of Kashmiri Hindu Sunil Kumar in an apple orchard in Shopian in the year 2022. A total of six terrorists have been killed so far in both the encounters.
One encounter is going on in Chinnigam and the other in Mudargam, four kilometers away from Kulgam. On receiving information about the presence of terrorists in Mudargam, a joint team of security forces cordoned off the area and started a search operation. As soon as the security forces cordoned off the area, the terrorists hiding inside started firing.
In the house where the terrorists were hiding in the Chinigam area of Kulgam, they had made a basement behind the roof. After the killing of four Hizbul terrorists in Samana, the security forces searched the house and found the basement. The terrorists had used it to hide weapons and ammunition.
