Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah changed the course of the match in the 15th over. Bumrah turned the match in India's favour by bowling out set batsman Mohammad Rizwan. After Rizwan's dismissal, the tight bowling of Akshar Patel and Hardik Pandya broke the back of Pakistan's batsmen. In the end, India won by 6 runs in a thrilling manner.
Pakistan's seventh defeat at the hands of India in the history of ICC T20 World Cup became a reason of happiness for Indian fans, while it was a matter of heartbreak for Pakistani fans. Especially for that fan, who had sold his tractor to see Pakistan win. After the match, the scene outside the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium was worth seeing. There 'Neela Samandar' was doing passionate dance steps on the dhol and shouting slogans of 'India India'. Among them was a Pakistani fan, who had bought the match ticket by spending 3,000 dollars (2.5 lakh rupees in Indian currency). For this, the fan had sold his tractor, but he could not see the Pakistan team win the match.
