To prevent betting, the government has come up with the 'Online Gaming Promotion and Regulation Bill, 2025'. That is, action has begun on gaming platforms. Whether they are skill-based or chance-based.
Violations can lead to jail (up to 3 years) and heavy fines (up to ₹1 crore), and promoters, including influencers, may also face penalties.
