An FIR has been registered at Virat Kohli's pub in Bengaluru for playing loud music till late night. Virat's one8 Commune pub is located on MG Road.
DGP Central said that on Saturday (July 6) night, a team from Cubbon Park police station went out on patrolling. Then one8 was found open till 1.30 in the night. The manager of the pub was keeping the pub open in an illegal manner. In Bengaluru, pubs are allowed to open only till 1 am. Therefore, action was taken against the pub. Apart from one8, cases have also been registered against 3-4 other pubs.
Virat Kohli's one8 Commune also has branches in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Kolkata. The Bengaluru branch was opened in December 2023, it is on the sixth floor of Ratnam Complex. Virat had said in an interview that Bengaluru is his favorite city. That's why he chose Bengaluru for the branch.
Last year, the Mumbai branch of One8 was in controversy when a man from Tamil Nadu alleged that he was not allowed entry into the pub because he was wearing a veshti (dhoti). In his post, he said that he was very upset with this behavior of the pub management.
