Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha Review

For some time now, love stories are being made in Hindi cinema, but they are full of violence, sex and fights. In such a situation, when Neeraj Pandey, who gave films like A Wednesday, Special 26, Baby, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, announced to make a love story, there was hope that he would entice the audience with a heart-touching love story apart from these masalas. However, due to weak writing, the film 'Auror Mein Kahaan Daam Tha' fails. Let us tell you that apart from writing the story and screenplay, Neeraj has also directed it.

What is the story of Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha

The story is set in Mumbai. In the beginning, Vasudha asks her lover Krishna if someone can separate them. From there, she realises that they are destined to be separated. From there, the story comes to the present. Krishna (Ajay Devgan) has been serving a sentence in jail for the last 22 years. Due to his good conduct, his remaining sentence is pardoned.

However, he does not want to come out of jail. When he finally comes out of jail, he goes to old places with his friend Jignesh (Jay Upadhyay) to refresh his memories. Vasudha (Tabu) also comes to meet him after learning about his release. Vasudha is now a successful and married woman.

Vasudha, who lives in a luxurious bungalow, brings him to her house to meet her husband Abhijeet (Jimmy Shergill). Along with the old memories, a hidden secret is also revealed, which no one knew except Vasudha and Krishna.

Shantanu-Saye's film is more important than Ajay-Tabu's

Neeraj has got the support of an excellent cast for the film. Shantanu does not look like a complete replica of Ajay in the role of young Krishna. Ajay seems quite stable in the gap of 22 years, but that is not reflected anywhere in the character of his youth.

Ajay Devgan has earlier played the role of a husband who has lost his love in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. There was nothing new for him here. Sai Manjrekar looks innocent as per the character. An attempt has been made to show Tabu's pain through her eyes, but weak dialogues come in the way.

By the way, this film seems more about Shantanu and Sai than Ajay and Tabu. In many films like Tanu Weds Manu, Happy Bhag Jayegi, Jimmy Shergill's character does not get the heroine in the end. The hero himself succeeds in getting her. Here Jimmy succeeds in this matter.

The weak side of the film was also its music. The music of lyricist Manoj Muntashir and music director MM Kirwani fails to make one feel the fire of love. The duration of the film could have been reduced by 15 minutes with tighter editing.
