Sponsorship period: The deal secures jersey sponsorship rights for the Indian cricket team till 2027, covering around 130 matches across formats.
Apollo Tyres will pay around ₹4.5 crore per match, higher than the previous sponsor Dream11's ₹4 crore per match, making it one of the most lucrative Indian cricket sponsorship deals.
Apollo Tyres won the sponsorship bid on September 16, 2025, beating competitors like Canva and JK Tyre. Birla Optus Paints showed interest but did not participate.
The deal was necessitated after Dream11's exit due to the government's Online Gaming Promotion and Regulation Act 2025, which impacted fantasy gaming companies.
Founded in 1972 and operating globally in over 100 countries, Apollo Tyres shares the brand spirit of resilience and performance under pressure that resonates with the spirit of the Indian cricket team.
This sponsorship is more than just a business deal; the Apollo Tyres logo will now feature prominently on the Indian team jersey, a much-loved symbol by fans across the country.
Upcoming events: The partnership includes major ICC events, bilateral series and the 2027 World Cup, making it a long-term strategic collaboration for both Apollo Tyres and Indian cricket.
Bidding ban: The BCCI banned brands related to gaming, betting, crypto, tobacco, certain sportswear, banking and other sectors from the sponsorship bidding process to maintain ethical standards.
